About us
A Burlington family business since 1960
Daniel Nielsen opened Dan's Welding & Fabricating in 1960. Three generations later his granddaughter Allison runs the shop alongside a crew of 28, ten of whom have been here more than twenty years.
That continuity is why plants across Southern Ontario keep coming back, the same people and the same standards, job after job.

With over 65 years of experience, Dan's Welding & Fabricating is a reliable source for metal finishing and cutting in Burlington, Hamilton, Oakville and the GTA. Whether you need precision cutting, in-house finishing or a fully coordinated finishing process, we deliver clean, lasting results.

Working with stainless steel
For projects that need corrosion resistance, strength and a clean appearance, we bring real skill in stainless steel. That includes stainless welding and fabrication, precision plasma and laser cutting, and finishing options such as polishing and sandblasting for durability and appearance. Commonly fabricated stainless items include frames and brackets, tanks and trays for sanitary environments, guarding and access platforms, custom enclosures, and precision machine components.

Every project starts with a clear look at the material requirements, functional needs and site conditions. We plan the material grade, use welding methods suited to the metal, and check welds, dimensions and surface finishes throughout the process, so each item is built to do its job and hold up in service.
